I am M. Mekin Pesen and I prepare this website and write the articles. This is my arena and I am a lifelong learner. I have 14 years of cybersecurity (or information security) job experience in banking, insurance and telecom industries. My jobs were in the leading corporations in their sector. I have a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I hold 4 professional certificates (CISSP, CCZT, ECSA, CEH and CCSA).
Currently, I provide security architecture expertise on applications, systems, infrastructure and business projects. I develop and maintain information security policies, standards, baselines and controls. And I perform security risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies to prevent future incidents. In the past, I did a wide range of tasks in the cybersecurity. In general, I conducted detailed researches into new technologies, product and vendor selection, performed vulnerability assessments, handled varying security threats, managed cyber threat management, implemented various security projects, designed security architecture, gave security consultancy, operated critical security software and hardware, delivered security research and analysis.
During my whole experience, I encountered lots of complex security problems or incidents. These incidents contributed me to gain insight into critical situations and to learn new abilities in order to handle complex problems.
